*** Antipolo Day

It's our yearly tradition again.... visiting Antipolo Church this month of May. We usually do this every May 31st, my in-law's wedding anniversary. We went there yesterday because I think they have other important plans for their anniversary.

Then after attending the 7:00 mass, we had our breakfast at Pancake House in Katipunan Avenue in Q.C.

I like the wall treatments used here..... different movie posters framed to the wall.

*** Mommy Moments: Grandparents Bonding

mommy moments

It is really a great pleasure when you see your kids spending some precious time with their grandparents. It is our family tradition to go home to Bulacan every Friday afternoon after fetching the kids at school to spend the whole weekend with their grandparents. My kids don't call my parents or even my in-laws Lolo and Lola. They call them Daddy Nestor and Mommy Duning (my in-laws), and Mommy Emma (my Mom). Besides our usual weekly tradition we also travel at least once a year with their grandparents, sometimes abroad and sometimes just out of Manila. And the kids really enjoyed the times when they were together.

With their Daddy Nestor and Mommy Duning at Niagara Falls, Canada.

***Movie Time: Angels and Demons

My daughter Jenine and I together with her school friends watched the prequel of the movie 'Da Vinci Code', Angels and Demons starring Tom Hanks as Professor Robert Langdon. This movie is a bit predictable, although I haven't read the book yet I knew what would happen next. We watched the movie in Edsa Shang Mall. I had a good time with my daughters' friends. It made me feel young again LOL!

*** Friends at Last

I have mentioned before that we have a new puppy named Coco. I wasn't sure if our Coffee, my 2 year old Shih Tzu will love the idea of another dog around. He was used to being the only pet in the house. When he first saw Coco he was a bit jealous especially when I pet Coco and carry him around the house. When I tried to put Coco down so that he'll get used to the idea that Coco will be his playmate, he just ignored Coco and didn't want to play with him even Coco wanted to.

But today, it's a miracle when I saw the both of them together at last. Maybe Coffee realized that he didn't have a choice since Coco is definitely a new member of the family. I'm just so happy now that they are playing and not growling at each other.

Having a Knowledge on Hacking

I was listening to the radio the other day and heard a news about a celebrity who uploaded her nude body photos on her twitter account, then after a day or two someone has hacked into her account and took all her nude photos and uploaded in the internet. At first, I really thought that the celebrity who uploaded these photos is either sick or stupid. Who with a right mind will upload photos of her nude and naked body on her website? I mean people nowadays especially who have the skills in the IT world can easily attack your site or any site in the internet by hacking into it. Even the most innocent and family oriented sites are being hacked and being used for malicious purposes by these IT hackers.

I don't know how they do it but I already experienced this kind of hacking on my emails. My password has been hacked and I can't open my own email accounts because someone changed my password without my knowledge. So I think that having a know how on IT Security can really help us to avoid these kind of threats. There are live online courses for these kind of learning and they offer Security Fundamentals, Ethical Hacking, Penetration Testing, Computer Forensics, Disaster Recovery and Secure Programming. Having knowledge on these categories will really be a great help for us because we will know if someone is hacking our system. Isn't it great if we can hacked them back? It will surely give them a lesson on hacking. What's more, having the knowledge on these subjects will help you secure a job on IT Security. There are big companies out there that are in need of ethical hackers that will help them secure their business. So make use of what you will learn from these subjects and be a help not a destroyer.

Can you deal with tooth implants?

We Filipinos are very health conscious. From a simple headache to a severe illness, we always depend on our doctors to look into the cause of our problems on our health and body. Most especially when our kids gets sick and when babies and toddlers cry and can't tell us what is wrong or what is hurting them. So the tendency is to go to our nearest physician.

Aside from our body, our teeth needs special attention too. When a tooth aches, our whole body tends to follow that ache and ruin our day. We have a regular check up with our dentist every three months. The kids and I undergo a regular cleaning and sometimes some tooth extraction on the kids. I don't worry for them because I know that it will grow back. But what if for adults like me that all my teeth are already permanent? I have a few teeth that needs to be extracted and I don't want to use false teeth after the extraction. I can't bear the fact that I'm going to have false teeth at my age! No way.

I've read some articles on health magazines and some I've found in the internet regarding a new technology in dentistry. It's what they call tooth implants. In abroad, one dental clinic that performs this kind of dental procedure is Arizona Dental. They have the best Arizona Dentists that can do this procedure for those patients like me that doesn't want to use false teeth. Here they have very accomodating staffs and dental assistants that will give you helpful info about their dental clinic and the procedures that they perform for their patients. Meso Arizona Dentists provides a good quality dental care and state of the art equipments so that patients will have a better health. So is you're in the neighborhood of Arizona, visit their clinic and have the best quality of dental care for your teeth.

To join this weekly meme, click here

We spend our Sunday celebrating Mother's Day with my Mom in Novaliches together with my 2 sisters and my brother and their respective families as well. Although we just prepared simple foods to be shared by each and everyone, my mom was so thrilled and so happy to see us all complete on this very special day.

This is my wonderful Mom posing with the basket of flowers I arranged for her.

The Palabok and Pizza courtesy of my sister Beth....

A box of Krispy Kreme donuts the "Chocolate Carnival" flavors courtesy of my family......

And The Cookies and Creme cake of the month of Red Ribbon courtesy of my Mom.......

There are also some "puto" and lots of sodas for refreshments. The kids are all excited to see each other because we rarely have the opportunity to gather as a whole family like this one except for Christmas and New Year.

Before we went home, the kids posed with their loving "Lola Emma". I've never realized that she already had 10 grandchildren and 2 more coming. The two big boys at the sides and the big girl in the middle are all my children. See the age gaps? LOL!

This is the first time that we celebrated Mother's Day with all of us complete! Again, Happy Mother's Day Mom! We love you and thank you for all the sacrifices that you endured for our sake, the love and care that you always have given us, for supporting us on all our dreams and success and for always being there when we needed your help and advise. We couldn't ask for a better Mom because you will always be the best!
